Chief Jonathon Dennis

Chief Jonathon Dennis is a 31 year veteran of police work, having retired from West Newbury, Ma. He was Chief there for 17 years. He has a Masters degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor Degree in History with minors in education and psychology. Prior to law enforcement he was a teacher in Amesbury and the Pentucket school system. He graduated from the NH Academy class of 146 in 2008.

Lt. William McGurren

Lt. McGurren has an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. He became a police officer in 1997 as a part time officer in Newton where he served for 4 years. He has been with South Hampton since 2000, was promoted to Sergeant in 2001 and Lieutenant in 2004. Bill is a graduate of the 203rd part time academy.

Sgt. Robert Forrest

Sgt. Forrest is an Attorney and former Deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department. He joined the South Hampton Department in 2003. He is currently the Court Prosecutor for the Department.

Officer Walker has been a part time officer with the South Hampton Police Department since 2002. He attended Hesser College and currently owns and operates his own business. He is the firearms instructor for the Department and a Field Training officer for newly hired officers.

Officer Doyle is currently a full time police officer for the Town of Rye. He has worked part time for South Hampton since 2003. He has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and 11 years experience. He is currently the taser instructor for the Department.

Robert Donovan is a former Chief of Police in Newton, A Marine, Retired Sergeant with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department. A certified Instructor for the New Hampshire Police academy. Bob has over 43 years of Law Enforcement experience. He joined the South Hampton Police Department in 2007.

Officer Kevin Henehan

Officer Henehan is a graduate of the 252 Part time Academy. He recently joined the Department in 2007. Kevin is also a Part Time officer for the Tewksbury Police Department. He has Bachelors degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology.

Officer Buono has been a dispatcher with Rockingham County Sheriffs Department since 1999. prior to that he worked for Berwick Maine and was a certified Maine officer in 1998. He is currently attending the NH 254th part time Academy and will graduate in December.

Officer Barbato is currently attending the 254th part time Academy and he too will graduate in December. Brian is also a Part Time officer in Tewksbury. He has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Officer Santiago is a 10 year veteran of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. He is a part time deputy with the Hillsboro Sheriff’s Department and has attended classes in Criminal Justice at Springfield college.
